A 26-year-old parolee must deal with his criminal boss and an enigmatic detective as he tries to find his way back into society and win back his ex-girlfriend. Never having a mother or father himself, he discovers the true meaning of fatherhood.
Though it's often too quirky for its own good and its bumpy narrative structure can be jarring, the film sneaks in quite a bit of depth and emotional punch.
