The movie takes place in the small town of New England. In that town, Dolores Claiborne works as a housekeeper for the wealthy Vera Donovan who does not have a human heart. In those moments, Vera turns to death, where Dolores is arrested differently. Now, her exotic daughter, a reporter for a big city, travels to the small town where she discovers more horrific events.
