A mysterious proprietor named Leland Gaunt, the owner of a newly opened store called Needful Things, proves to be more than he appears when his seemingly innocent transactions with his clients begin to lead to deadly, Satanic mayhem.
Max von Sydow has some good lines, but he delivers them in an utter vacuum.
