The movie follows Sgt. Wyatt, an ex-slave and post-Civil-War Black cavalry member as he and his member attempt to capture an Apache warrior named Vittorio who slaughters the settlers in New Mexico.
...says nothing that is particularly new about the history of race relations, but it presents its message in an elevating way. Meanwhile, there's the adventure to consider.
