A former advertising executive (Ed Stoppard) unveils a strange, secret campaign aimed at ushering in a new era of unbridled consumer consumption around the world. Ed is still not convinced of what is happening, but he has to face a tragic fate in those moments, which leads to an epic battle with hidden forces controlling everything.
Satire usually implies at least a little bit of humor, and Branded is mostly humorless -- if it was ever actually trying to be funny, then it fails. If a satire should be pointed, then this movie is more on the dull side.
