The movie is about Michael Walker, who wished he had every Christmas as a child. It seems that it is getting worse due to a tragic accident and the joy of his vacation. To help his son in tragedy, Michael tries to move away from all his memories.
Angels Sing is a heartfelt but less-than-polished piece of work that isn't for everyone...But graded on a Christmas-movie curve, it actually isn't bad.
Despite the story's tenuous rigging and too-obvious sentimentalism, the actors give it grounding and warm appeal -- and really, who couldn't fall for the rictus-grinned Lovett playing the wacky Christmas-crazy neighbor?
"Angels Sing" is a shameless holiday movie, one that will stop at nothing - even killing off characters - to try to wring one last bit of emotion out of the audience.
