A group of comedy events that occur to a baseball team where the California Angels are currently the worst team in their department. The players seem to face a small problem in teamwork. Roger's boy died and his mother now lives in a nursing home. But Roger prefers that he and his father go back together, and when he asks his father if possible, his father's response is 'when the angels win the flag.' Roger then prayed and asked if he could help the team. When Roger goes to a game, he sees some angels descending from the sky and helping the players to make some wonderful things.
The main problem here is one that seems to plague too many movies these days -- the film simply cannot seem to settle on a tone, wildly careening from broad, silly slapstick to syrupy sentiment.
