Shakaar Edon was a Bajoran resistance fighter and leader of the Shakaar cell during the Cardassian Occupation. He became a farmer after it ended. He negotiates Bajor's admittance to the Federation. Deep Space 9 Bajoran liaison officer Kira Nerys was part of the Shakaar cell as a teen and begins a romance with him as an adult aboard DS9.
