Now in his third season on MADAM SECRETARY, George Pendill portrays "featured core" General Holcomb, President / Vice President of the JCOS since season one. With over 40 years of professional training and performing in theatre and music, George waited to turn to TV and movies until 2011. "I always knew my time would be later in my life, and I never felt more right, ready and connected". Since then, his reputation has kept in busy in character and featured core work in major television work as well as major studio films. Recent television work has included PERSON OF INTEREST, BOARDWALK EMPIRE and UNFORGETTABLE. His work in the film A WALK AMOUNG THE TOMBSTONES garnered him rave reviews from such directors as Scott Frank - who personally commended his performance.George began his acting training at the age of 6 as a member the famed Western Springs Theatre's Children's school. From kindergarten through high school he was trained in the various acting styles through history - the only school at its time to teach the development of drama and comedy through the ages for children's. During this time he also studied voice/piano/theatre and performing professionally throughout the Chicago area.While an undergraduate at Illinois Wesleyan University, he made his professional operatic debut during his junior year in the Beverly Sills/New York City Opera production of Massenet's MANON with the Florentine Opera and the Milwaukee Symphony. Prior to graduate school, George was an apprentice at Michigan Opera Theatre and Tanglewood Music Festival. He followed up his undergraduate work as a member of the University of Illinois' graduate opera program in Champaign/Urbana.Following graduate school, George moved to Los Angeles where he became a house baritone for the Long Beach Opera - while supplementing his time doing bit roles in TV and movies. In 1991, George moved to New York so that he could be closer to representation in theatre and music.In 2011, George decided to return to his love of acting and began performing again in TV and movies. His breakthrough role as Dr. Simien in SPLIT SECOND has led to a "Non-Stop" casting whirlwind in movie and television productions playing heavy feature roles. "Ensemble work has always been a 'feeding drive'".Today Mr. Pendill lives in both New York and Los Angeles.
