Katya Pylova

An American actress working and living in New York. Katya started studying Russian Theatre and attended music school while growing up back in her hometown of Cheboksary, Russia. Being a ballet, ballroom and modern dance performer all her life, she had always been on stage and always had a deep passion for the art of performing. After moving to the US at the age of 19, she graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a degree in International Business. She then decided to pursue a career in modeling and had been a successful fashion model for over six years.Katya went back to studying acting 5 years ago and decided to pursue the acting career professionally. She had been taking classes with several outstanding acting teachers like Richard Scanlon, Karl Bury and Bradley Calcaterra.She has just finished filming her first four short films, two of which she played lead roles.Her first short Film "The Astronomical, Astrological and Mythological" got an Official Selection from Montecatini International Short Film Festival 2016.
