Riji Raja was born and raised in Kuwait to Indian parents; her mother, a teacher, and her father, a textile business liaison between far east countries and Kuwait. During the Gulf War in 1990, she and her parents fled to India for safety but not without enduring the hardships of the Iraqi invasion. In 1991, they were given a second chance when her father was requested to transfer back to Kuwait. She holds a Bachelor's in Microbiology and a Masters in Finance. She was formerly an auditor before she made the decision to pursue acting in 2016. She began her career with a Moneygram web commercial. Her social justice cause is homelessness and she's working on using her voice to help contribute towards this matter on a larger scale.
