Alexander Scheer was born on June 1, 1976 in East Berlin, East Germany. He is an actor, known for Sun Alley (1999), Das Wilde Leben (2007) and Carlos the Jackal (2010). His first movie appearance was a national hit: the leading role in 'Sonnenallee'. He became one of the most successful stage actors of his generation in Germany awarded with several prizes including 'Actor of the Year'. His portrayal of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards in 'Das Wilde Leben' (2007) was the kick-of for several screen incarnations of biographic characters such as Blixa Bargeld and Friedrich Nietzsche. In Golden Globe awarded Carlos the Jackal (2010) Scheer played Johannes Weinrich, the right hand of the terrorist. In upcoming 'Gladbeck' he portrays well known German hostage-taker Dieter Degowski.
