Born and bred in beautiful North Wales. Welsh [Cymraeg] is Robert's native language. Learnt to speak English from watching iconic American TV shows from the sixties and seventies, like The Man From Uncle, Batman, Lost In Space & Star Trek.Robert moved to London, UK, in 1986, working back stage in several theatres in the West End, as well as Assistant Stage Manager at the Royal Albert Hall during and after the Proms, before starting his formal training as an actor at the London Academy Music and Dramatic Art in '86, graduating with distinction in 1989. Within weeks of graduating he was treading the boards, cutting his theatrical teeth in repertory at the Derby Playhouse. For the next few years more work was offered in TV and film, which he duly took, so his focus went more in front of the camera. Has lived in London, Toronto, and Wales (both South and North).
