Sunny immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of six with her family. While growing up caught between two different cultures, she found comfort, and her true self, in the arts. As a teen, Sunny traveled all over North America with her choirs and concert band to perform at international music festivals, like the Anaheim Heritage Festival at Disneyland. Sunny completed her BA in psychology, with a minor in English literature, at the University of British Columbia. She was cast as Janet Weiss in a university production of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". The actress continues to study the craft with Jeb Beach and Henry Mah. She also composed and released an EP titled 'Sad China' in April 2016, available for free download on SoundCloud. She is determined to break through this whitewashed industry and contribute to the growing roster of POC role models in media.
