It is a series of unique comedy events that tell of Abe, 45. Abe seems to be unexpectedly led by misfortune and despair into a radical transformation relationship that perfectly reflects her life path. In that comedy series, Chicago will be the mainstay of Abe McNanny with the stars participating in a unique and different human comedy.
It's a character study, and an endearing one at that. But it's also smart about offering insight into different queer experiences without ever being didactic.
Work in Progress is a remarkably solid debut from a comedian who knows her own voice, knows it's funny, and is nonetheless unafraid to admit when she doesn't like it.
