Critics Of "The Great British Sewing Bee - Season 6"

Just enjoy the ASMR value of heavy scissors cutting through fabric, or the joke over the farting mannequin, or Esme Young saying, "I do love a pocket." So do I, Esme.
So what of this opening bunch for series six? They're lively and engaging, though this time casting central seems to have failed to unearth the token straight rugby-playing bloke.
That's the fun of this show though. Like Bake Off, it's all about seeing the end results and wondering whether you could have done any better - or in my case, how much more of a mess I could have made of it.
While it was short on anything approaching real drama, the GBSB had enough going for it in genial host Joe Lycett, a worthy winner in 1940s enthusiast Dr Clare, and judges, Esme Young and Patrick Grant, who knew their stuff.
Whilst it does not have that same level of appeal as Bake Off ... you do end up appreciating that there is a lot of skill and craft that goes into this.
