The series tells of a reckless experience by a woman named Charlotte Heywood, a brave and reckless woman who decided to move from her country house to Sanditon. Sanditon is a fishing village and a convenient city for projects where Charlotte is trying to reinvent a seaside resort in that area. In a short while, Charlotte finds herself in front of a new path of daily challenges in order to implement what she wants.
Think of a Jane Austen novel and Love Island doesn't exactly spring to mind. And yet it's hard not to compare Andrew Davies's adaptation of Sanditon... with the ITV2 reality show.
