This television reality series follows the strong competition, hosted by Elizabeth Banks, a well known actress, as contestants compete against answering trivia questions in a board, in order to win spins of prizes and cash, but have to avoid the Whammys, in order to save their spins.
Not even my nostalgia for Whammys and the presence of Elizabeth Banks can erase the fact that there is no skill whatsoever involved in this game show: It really is just an hour watching overly excitable people test their dumb luck.
Elizabeth Banks of "Hunger Games" and "Pitch Perfect" fame does her best to bring sass and drama. Unfortunately, she must utter hackneyed lines like, "Do you wanna [big pause] press your luck?" If only she'd put on her "Hunger Games" outfit.
