The season finale is the typical tease that you're expecting with nuggets of what to expect when the anime returns for its fourth season. This episode is the cherry on top of My Hero Academia's best season yet.
The story is given time to breathe without easing up on the pace once the action kicks in, and it is animated beautifully, with Bones really flexing their muscles given the extra runtime and budget.
The role the press, the school, and the parents play is explored quite thoroughly, with the interaction among them forming one of the most interesting aspects of the series.
My Hero Academia's always been a really attractive show, so I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that it seems to just be getting better and better.
It's also worth noting that Season 2 started fairly slowly before kicking the plot into high gear, so while Game Start didn't move the main plot forward in any meaningful way, I'm confident exciting things lie ahead for My Hero Academia in Season 3.
My Hero is proof you don't have to constantly reinvent the wheel; it's not doing anything revolutionary with the shonen formula at all, but it is executing that formula as smoothly as possible with one of the most likable casts in fiction.
With gorgeously animated action, an underdog hero surrounded by a charismatic cast, and a bright sense of humor, My Hero Academia has most of the qualities people value in a great anime
