It is a powerful mission by the American ballistic missile submarine Colorado, which has received orders to launch nuclear weapons in Pakistan. The mission turned into a dangerous path when the captain refused to fire. After fleeing an attack from another American submarine, it appears that the crew will face a dangerous path in that area.
Last Resort is a thriller on the order of 24 as much as it is a puzzle, so I'm hoping the show will surmount audience mythology burnout. It deserves a fair chance to unfold.
It's worth rooting for Last Resort, despite its potentially fatal flaws. As their fiery protagonist would surely agree: When the odds are against you, it's better to make a giant splash than a quiet surrender.
