Driving by their deep will of saving humanity from a fatal disease that is about to outbreak earth, a group of best scientists, struggle and do their best, in order to find out the reasons behind that disease and the cure, so they travel to arctic region, searching for an answer for their questions, the thing that brings terrible for them.
You like this kind of thing or you don't, and I don't, particularly, but Helix is very involving, giving us characters to care about even in the midst of so much necessary setup.
It is thoroughly creepy and made even more so by upbeat counterpoints like a sound system playing Dionne Warwick's "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" over and over.
Helix is initially involving, but it gradually loses energy as we realize we have a long slog ahead before all the secrets are revealed and the plot resolved.
