When she stops her spree, Lucious holds her head in his hands and they kiss and almost start another type of bangin'. She stops herself before they go too far and she walks out, leaving Lucious in her wreckage. Welcome back, Empire.
In "Sound & Fury," Henson showed us the heartbreak hidden beneath Cookie's tough exterior. It was a tour de force performance that fueled one of my favorite scenes in Empire's three seasons so far.
Just when I start to get a little bored with Empire, Cookie pulls me back in. If Cookie thinks the label was built on her back, I hope Taraji P. Henson knows she carries this whole show on hers.
