It is a series of wonderful comedies that we live through Abby, a girl who creates an unlicensed watering room in the backyard of her home. Now, everyone starts to eat cheap drinks and laughs, but what makes this place so special is the presence of Abe. With no time for nonsense, everyone seems to want to book a seat in the bar and it may take a long time to get to that fun place with Abby.
There's a lot of room for tinkering on Abby's and a lot of elements that could eventually turn the show into a winner. Based on the early returns, it's going to take some patience. Or maybe just a few beers.
It is a solidly constructed sitcom of the family-by-association sort that does the nation the incidental favor of keeping Natalie Morales and Neil Flynn in public view.
because there's promise in the group of characters that inhabit Abby's bar, and that Morales is a fine sitcom lead. But just realize it might take a while for Abby's to achieve its potential.
Kind of like the titular bar itself, Abby's kind of sneaks up on you with its charm and relatively laid back attitude for a typically more frantic style of sitcom.
Early wobbliness aside, Abby's is not a show to dismiss. There is so much potential in its creators and cast... Hopefully Abby's will figure out soon how to make itself more at home.
