In the horror/comedy hybrid, 'You're Killing Me', we take a look at the life and death consequences of dating in the age of incessant chatter. Joe and George meet just as Joe is coming out to himself as someone who loves to kill. George, on the other hand, can't decide which wig to wear for his next YouTube video.
The production values cause the film to struggle in the run-up to the resolution, a quaintly idiosyncratic horror-comedy that just barely fails to work entirely.
Spending time with these talentless idiots will be a thankless task, but with a premise that never runs out of steam, You're Killing Me is a cult gem waiting to be found.
What results is a vibrant and fresh film, a unique entry into any queer film festival that at often times can take itself too seriously. It's a perfect Friday night movie with even more laughs than bloody corpses.
