The film covers the story of Karen and her two young daughters who decided to move to a small town in Pennsylvania. In 1913, things turn to a different path while a tragic mining accident occurs as dozens of children are trapped alive, underground, and things turn upside down. Things are still getting worse as you roam the area around the sprawling house.
Neither this nor that, Zombies (aka Wicked Little Things) offers up a creaky old forest-load of horror cliches but never quite sees the wood for the trees.
Wicked Little Things wastes a lot of potential; but if you approach it more as a supernatural drama and not so much a horror film, it's not altogether bad for the price of a rental.
It is a fun undead romp with very attractive girls, creepy kids, and a good amount of the ole dark and chunky. If that's all you want out of it, you won't be disappointed.
