It seems that the couple Chris and Annie who have been married for many years and have two wonderful children go through a series of tragic events. One day, they lose each other in a car accident but years later, Chris dies from another accident and then Chris discovers that something is strange. Annie is buried, then Chris returns hard in the pit of Hell to save his wife from the curse.
Has two things going for it--its spectacular, Academy Award-nominated special effects and the fact that it ends. Everything else about this ridiculous, three-hanky film sends it sharply into nightmare.
