That story of a group of teenage drug-addicted teenagers and hallucinogens trying to escape the police. The youth fled and there was no shelter but a group of dense forests where they hid. It seems that young people are trying to escape from local authority for some reason. They may be facing a failure of a different kind.
The Ranger is equal parts carnage, survival, and punk rock. It has all the appeal of an eighties slasher flick, but it also tells a more complex story.
It's pretty rough around the edges, part by design and part because this is Wexler's first movie, but it's a lot of fun and the kind of horror movie you want to put on at parties.
The real star of the show is [director] Jenn Wexler. While the script she co-wrote with Giaco Furino has believability issues, the film's overall tone is ambitious.
