Through that atmosphere where all call for giving up smoking, according to its harmful and bad effects on people's health, Nike Naylor, a young smart man who works for the biggest tobacco factory, as he struggles against convincing people with smoking and at the same time, he has to deal with bring a good figure for his son.
Curiously, the film's key drawback --its impassive resolution feels a little too slick -- is arguably indicative of the theme: no matter how much we may think we're peeling back the layers, all we arrive at is another façade.
