Spivak seems to have the effect of intellectual maturity but is surrounded by a group of failed friends, who turning his life into the hell of failure and despair, but when he gets to know a couple with a different outlook on life. He turns into a new man, a successful writer, who seems to have a new look of life in Los Angeles.
