The film embodies the story of a young man trying to fulfill his dream during 1985, as this Dublin teenager (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) formed a rock and roll band to win the heart of the ambitious model (Lucy Boynton). It seems that it will succeed completely, as this music brings back memories of us, takes us out of the turmoil of daily life and turns us into something different.
Carney has an uncanny way of telling a story through music. "Sing Street" reminds us of being young and lost in a song, realizing with a jolt that someone else had the same feelings we did.
