This movie revolves around a malevolent con-artist raccoon called as RJ, and an easily upset turtle Verne. They have to exist with each other in bizarre new world suburbia, where they do food robbery from humans, and start to establish a strong friendship with each other in the process.

If Over the Hedge aims solely to entertain, it does so in a way that's mildly amusing but mostly hackneyed. If it aims to instruct, it weakens its own argument with the plethora of product tie-ins.
