It is a drama film that embodies the story of a cash-strapped couple who find themselves in GPS coordinates supposedly leading to a wealth of gold. In order to reach their purpose, they seem to be planning to work together but are desperate to get the money. Now, they both decide to join hands with travelers to enter a remote winter wilderness to recover the spoils while there is special expiation for what will happen.
The quartet makes unbelievably dumb decision after unbelievably dumb decision, and get a few assists from some very conveniently tension-filled happenstance, before everything really goes to frozen-over hell.
The cast is engaging, and the makeup effects are convincingly squicky. It's a little disappointing that the last act downshifts into a predictable cat-and-mouse chase.

There are chills here and there, but not enough to justify putting on your coat and braving the elements on the way to the theatre.
