Calling for having his full rights as Muslim, Rizwan Khan, a young Muslim man suffers from Asperger Syndrome, and travels to San Francisco, where he meets a young Hindu single mother Mandira with whom he falls in love and marry her, but their life turns down after marriage, as she has been arrested after the attack of 2011, where all Muslims become suspected, goes in a journey to talk with the president himself.
Without any gimmickry, Khan captures the nervous ticks and emotional barriers that an afflicted individual must battle against daily. It's a showy performance but in the right kind of way.
Technically accomplished, it's always engaging due to the credible performances from its beautiful leads, the charismatic Khan and Kajol. Worthy, but flawed.
