The story of this movie depicts the trip of Two best friends Sarah and Mindy with Sarah's daughter along way, but the circumstances which happened fierce them to be apart from each other to see Sarah does her best to return this relation again with his best friend before her wedding.
There are glances and nervous hands, longing gazes, and downcast faces needing explanation or consolation. Malone and Keough, perfectly cast and perfectly in sync as people who should be - but probably never will be - lovers, make sadness seem enticing.
I think it's [So Yong Kim's] strongest picture yet and proof that even with a small budget, the right casting decisions can take a project from good to great.
There's nothing clear-cut about Sarah and Mindy's feelings for one another and Lovesong conveys the complexity of their emotions with tenderness and restraint.
A character study of this relationship, casually yet carefully sketched out by Kim in subtle but meaningful gestures and glances. Much is communicated through the eyes, searching for answers in the void of what's not said, but felt.
