The film covers the full events behind the life of novelist Eris Murdoch and her husband John Bailey. It's a perfect movie that embodies that romance between them together as they love each other and even during Alzheimer's, her husband always stands by her.
Despite good acting from the two pairs, viewers expecting illuminating insights about the literary genius, eccentric philosophy and complex sexuality of Iris Murdoch will be disappointed by Richard Eyre's minor, rambling, TV-like film.
