But for one visitor, Hell Fest is not the attraction – it is a hunting ground. An opportunity to slay in plain view of a gawking audience, too caught up in the terrifyingly fun atmosphere to recognize the horrific reality playing out before their eyes. As the body count and frenzied excitement of the crowds continues to rise, he turns his masked face to NATALIE, BROOKE, TAYLOR and their boyfriends who will fight to survive the night.
A straightforward slasher movie of the old school [that] keeps the gore level to a merciful minimum, but offers little suspense or excitement to compensate...for the most part this is pretty dull going.
Reveling in the kind of scares that were popular in the 1980s, this slasher fest is far from great, but the characters have an appealing realness, and it's spirited and fun overall.
... with the coolest Halloween mazes you've never seen, characters are kept on their toes as much as the target audience wishes they were in there with them.
