The movie tells of Sandy Rex who was sent to Coral Key Island to stay with his uncle Porter. It looks like Sandy was not like that because he wouldn't attend the Red Hot Chili Peppers party that he already bought tickets for. There is a dolphin called Flipper that will change the course of this young man's life and completely change his mind about life.
Formulaic kid-gets-whipped-into-shape by his ne'er-do-well uncle flick with Wood and Hogan offering likable enough performances to offset the charm of that wonderful dolphin.
