In an attempt to survive and feel safety, Wilbur, a young kind pig, that has been raised by a small family with kind daughter that loves him and saves his life when her father makes his mind to prepare him for the dinner, she pegs him for not doing this, makes an agreement with a wise grey spider to make him safe.
It preserves some of the form and language of White's original but fattens and sweetens his lean and pungent prose with songs by Richard and Robert Sherman.
