In an attempt to achieve justice and peaceful in the world, Bruce Wayne, a courageous man possessed with achieving justice and Jim Gordon, an honest cop, who after many years of absence, return to Gotham City, where people suffer from the dangerous and evil Batman, so they unite together, in order to fight him.
Batman: Year One adapts Frank Miller's tale with excellent animation and first-rate voice work from a talented cast, finding a nice balance between human moments and exciting action sequences.
Marital infidelity, child prostitution and civic corruption are bluntly (although tastefully) displayed - it just so happens that there's also a guy zipping around town in a bat suit.
