The film follows the story of the sluggish slave - Pseudolus, who experiences a new experience when his lover leaves today. One day, this young master discovers that I am in love with a girl who lives in the Likos home, as he faces a different path and begins a new conspiracy.
A funny thing happened on the way to Hollywood: A good musical-comedy lost much of its fizz.

Perhaps the first modern film musical -- breaking with and even making sport of the theatrical artifice that had been bogging down the genre for nearly a decade.
Hilarious, stagey version of hit Broadway musical comedy.

A great mixture of slapstick, farce and music. Zero Mostel is a treat as is the underappreciated Jack Gilford.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a classic in its own right. The songs are fun and the story is unpredictable (even if it does occasionally meander for too long).
