Adolphus is a rifleman with superhuman eyesight ; he was an associate of the Baron before the war but he now lives inside a monstruous sea-creature together with other castaways, including Gustavus and Bucephalus, the Baron's horse. He escapes with the Baron's and fights with him against the Turks.
