Shelley Ng spends many a night working as a waitress at the Rammer Jammer, seemingly the most popular bar in the bucolic Southern burg of Bluebell, Alabama. She is friendly with Zoe Hart, the New York surgeon who rather unwillingly comes to Bluebell to serve as a general practitioner. She is friendly and helpful in a pinch.
