Canton Everett Delaware III is a former FBI agent who, in 1969, was kicked out of the presumably for wanting to marry an African-American man. He is called back to investigate mysterious calls President Richard Nixon had been receiving, and served as the Doctor's fourth companion during his investigation of the Silence.
