Marijana Jankovic is a Danish actress born in Montenegro. Jankovic is high respected actress in the Danish film, known for her work ethic and dedication to her roles. She graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 2006. Since then she has established herself as one of Denmark's most interesting and promising actresses. Marijana starred in Academy Award Winning Short Helium (2013), directed by Anders Walter. She landed her first role in a feature film in 2007 when she played Nina in Pernille Fischer Christensen's Dancers, and the following year she played opposite Nikolaj Lie Kaas in The Candidate. For her performance in Christoffer Boe's meta-thriller Everyting Will be Fine (2010), she was nominated for both a Danish Critics' Association Award "Bodil" and a Zulu Award. The same year she starred in the critically acclaimed and internationally recognized Beast, also directed by Christoffer Boe. For her role in Beast, Marijana Jankovic won a 2012 Fantasia Award for Best Actress at Fantasia International Genre Film Festival. Marijana has also had an extensive career on stage, she has played strong and leading characters. Her Danish television credits include The Protectors (DR), Lulu & Leon (TV3), Rita (TV2), Norskov (TV2) and we have also seen her in Those Who Kill (TV2), where she had the opportunity to play the rare role of a female serial killer. In the acclaimed series, The Legacy (DR) she plays Emil's girlfriend, Camilla. Jankovic plays Female Student, in The House That Jack Built, Directed by Lars Von Trier (2018). She is really good in commanding accents and learn languages. To play the leading role in the Icelandic movie Mules, Directed by Borkur Sigthorsson, Jankovic actually learned Icelandic and Polish for the shoot.
