Born 9th December 1990 in Brisbane, Australia, Brewer began her acting career at the tender age of 12 when she joined the children's show The Sleepover Club (2003). A week after graduation she arrived in Melbourne to look for acting work and auditioned for the ongoing role of Kate Ramsay in the long-running soap opera Neighbours (1985). After her debut in May 2009 Brewer was nominated the following year for the "Most Popular New Female Talent Logie Award". There is absolutely nothing to suggest that Ashleigh will be returning to Ramsay street, as Kate was shot and died on screen. Although her death is doubted by few, writing/production staff, fellow actors and indeed Ashleigh herself have all confirmed that Kate did die and will never be returning. Show less «
