William Barbour was born the middle son of three boys to James Barbour (a Lutheran Minister and later American Literature professor an Barbara Barbour, a nurse. He was raised in Milwaukee and Los Angeles but mostly in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His mother passed away from cancer in the 1990s but his father continues to live in Albuquerque, NM.William Barbour attended the University of Colorado, Boulder majoring in Psychology and Political Science. He lettered in football as a linebacker under legendary coach Bill McCartney. After college he joined the US Air Force and was stationed at Williams AFB,(Phoenix AZ), Pope AFB (Fayetteville NC), Zweibrucken AB Germany and Travis AFB (Fairfield CA). He flew over 7,000 hours in T-37. T-38, C-130, C-23 and C-5 aircraft with combat time in the Panama Invasion, Somalia, Bosnia and both Gulf Wars (Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom), retiring as a Lt Colonel, Command Pilot, instructor pilot, logistics and safety officer.William Barbour is married to the beautiful and talented Brazilian model/actress Marcella Bragio. When not acting he continues to work for the Department of Defense part time. His wife Marcella is also a piano instructor, having college degrees in music from her native Brazil.
