Waleed is a British actor of Pakistani and Arab decent, best known for his role as Essad in Golden Globe nominated 'Slamon Fishing in the Yemen' directed by Lasse Halstrom. His first role was in the International Emmy winning BBC adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's much loved children's book 'Dustbin baby'. For his stage work he was labeled a rising star by the Eastern Eye Newspaper and was part of the European premier tour of the 'Kite Runner' for the Nottingham Playhouse & Liverpool Everyman and recently finished a run of award winning Canadian play 'Velocity' at The Finborough Theatre, London. As a writer/director he was nominated for the Satyajit Ray award, commended at the Malta Film festival and has had his worked performed at the Tricycle Theatre in London. Show less «
