Jon Martin was born on October 24, 1947 in San Francisco, California. Martin not only studied acting with both Uta Hagen and Stella Adler in New York City, but also acted in a few Off-Broadway stage productions in the early 1970's. (He also studied at San Francisco State University.) Jon eventually returned to San Francisco and worked as a switchman and locomotive engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad until he was laid off. Martin started out in the adult entertainment industry doing hardcore loops for the Mitchell Brothers and made his adult movie debut in the porno chic classic Derrière la porte verte (1972). Among the notable directors that Jon acted in films for are Bob Chinn, Gary Graver, Stu Segall, Alex de Renzy, Kirdy Stevens, Carlos Tobalina, and Anthony Spinelli.
