Gwen Verdon, the famed petite, redhaired triple-threat, and Bob Fosse, the workaholic choreographer, were married in 1960, and shortly thereafter decided to have children. Nicole was Fosse's only child, and Gwen's second (Nicole's half brother, Jim Henaghan, is 20 years her senior).
