Brad Bonnell was born and raised in Newfoundland, where he completed a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from Memorial University in 2014. While studying at Memorial, he began acting in local productions in 2008. During this time he worked in both professional and community theatre, working with such companies as Artistic Fraud and Rising Tide Theatre. He began film work in 2012, in an episode of locally shot CBC TV Series: Republic of Doyle.
